GBC® Rewards Consumers with a Chance to Win €5,000 Shopping Spree for Achieving Their Goals

Winner Will Be Randomly Selected Among Consumers Who Submit Success Stories

LINCOLNSHIRE, Ill. (June 20, 2008) – In today’s fast-paced world, it’s easy to forget the importance of going the extra mile to protect your work and make it stand out above the rest. Yet 74 percent of people believe laminating safeguards their material while making it more durable, and 70 percent believe the same about binding, according to a study by GBC, the market leader in binding and lamination. Now GBC is making it pay off for consumers with a pan-European competition that will award a €5,000 shopping spree to a consumer randomly chosen among those who submit their stories on how they reached their goals and achieved success by binding and/or laminating their documents.

“Our customers have told us success stories on how binding and laminating made a powerful impact in how they achieved their objectives,” said Kellie Glueck, Director of Global Brand Marketing. “We wanted to encourage all our customers to take advantage of this easy process and reward them for their creativity and accomplishments.”

Some inventive examples of how laminating and binding have been used include a Russian customer who typed an entire copy of his favorite book that was no longer available because books were in short supply under communist rule, former classmates at a school reunion who turned laminated school pictures into name badges to recognize each other, and a man who laminated the last remaining photo of him and his girlfriend. He said he “laminated the feeling of happiness” because the picture showed them at a happy moment in their lives.

Individuals who enter the “Reach Your Goals with GBC” competition are not only eligible to win a €5,000 shopping spree, but they can also win other exciting electronics. They can go to www.gbceurope.com/goals for more details as well as for tips and ideas for binding and laminating. Winners will be randomly selected from all qualified entrants. Additionally, website visitors can order free samples demonstrating some of the high-caliber GBC supplies. The deadline to enter is June 30, 2008.
